Saw a deer standing in the sweet-rocket this morning on my way to work. It was a beautiful tableau. The deer, a doe, was standing close to a fence in a very green field, with sweet-rocket glowing, violet, milky violet, and white all around her. She was just watching…I don’t know what…perhaps the sunrise...just watching, patiently waiting. But the scene was breathtaking. I’m still seeing it, thinking about it…very hard to make myself focus on work...
Someone has said that we, as humans, have about 25,000 sunrises (about 69 years) in us, and not too many like this morning's. It’s good to savor them when we happen upon them…
